Message I ran some logging software before and after the HOWE radiator
upgrade. A 50/50 mix of coolant and antifreeze is used before and after
the radiator replacement. During a 4 hour drive with the stock radiator,
the temperature was no less than 186.8 after the car warmed up. I was
at constant highway speeds of ~75MPH, the outside temperature was
~90F and the A/C was periodically on and off throughout the trip. The
next day I was in stop and go traffic, never exceeding 40MPH for
45minutes with the A/C on and the outside temperature was 97F. The
water temperature stayed at 177F for almost the whole trip. It started to
creep up towards the end of the drive, but never reached 186.8F.

I've seen the water temperature get as high as ~200F with the stock
radiator and stop and go driving.

The new HOWE radiator kept the water temperature at a very acceptable
number in the toughest conditions. The stock radiator kept the water
temperature at a normal number, but at highway speeds on a cooler
day. I have some of the datalogs from after the HOWE if anyone wants
to view them. I accidentally overwrote the before HOWE install logs
(ZTalk only stores 6 log files max).

When the going gets tough, the tough go: "Screw it... I'll let bernie handle this. ADMIN DELETE" - zboost 15:45:05 01/31/04
